MESSAGE FROM THE PASTORAL TEAM
FAITH IN OUR FUTURE CAMPAIGN
In January 2009, the four parishes, St. Francis Xavier, St. John the Baptist,
St. Mary –
All contributions in this campaign will be held in the Faith in Our Future Trust for the specific use and purposes set forth in the campaign and for no other purposes. It is important for parishioners to know the funds are protected from any lawsuit settlements due to the nature of the Trust established. Parish goals are established based on last year’s offertory contributions. 60% of the funds raised in each parish will be directed to parish ministries; 40% will be retained by the archdiocese to support overall parish ministries, Catholic education and faith formation initiatives across the archdiocese. If a parish goal is exceeded, the percentage shared with the parish increases.
Each parish must individually develop and publish for it’s parishioners a specific plan on how the money returned to the parish will be spent. Parish leadership has been working with the Pastoral Team to develop a specific plan for each of the parishes on how the funds will be used to support faith formation and/or Catholic education.
If you would like to be a part of your parish’s Faith in Our Future Leadership Team, please contact one of your council members or either of us on the Pastoral Team.
